In addition to its routine lake monitoring activities, the MPCA also participates in special studies, such as the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' Sentinel Lake program and in the EPA's National Lake Assessment Projects. Following monitoring, MPCA staff evaluate and assess the data to determine if the lakes meet water quality standards. The current regulatory practice of using regionalization schemes to guide water quality criteria could be improved by consideration of lake‐specific characteristics, which were the most important predictors of water quality at the scale of the continental United States. Consequently, a number of chemical analyses are presented for some wells within a county but not for others. Documentation of nationally accepted methods used by USGS personnel serves to maintain consistency and technical quality in data-collection activities.

Geological Survey. The mission of the Water Resources Discipline of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is to provide the information and understanding needed for wise management of the Nation's water resources. Inherent in this mission is the responsibility to collect data that accurately describe the physical, chemical, and biological attributes of water systems.

May 26,  · The data reservoir is a reference architecture that balances the desire for easy access to data with information governance and security. The data reservoir reference architecture describes the technical capabilities necessary for a system of insight, while being independent of specific technologies.

The intent of this page is to provide online access to data and maps published by the OWRB and other water related agencies. Please note that many of these datasets are copies of production datasets and may not reflect current conditions.

A chemical and biological survey of Bass Lake in Geauga County was conduced by Ohio EPA in The purpose of the study was to provide baseline data on existing conditions to assist in the development of a long-term comprehensive manag ement plan for the lake and its associated wetland comp lex.
